The TM-206 Solar Irradiance Meter is a simple to use, handheld piece of equipment for measuring solar radiation. This irradiance meter is ideal for solar power research and testing PV modules & arrays

Checking solar irradiance is essential when determining the best angle of inclination for a solar panel to achieve maximum efficiency. Simply point the tester at the sun and the measurement will be displayed onscreen in either W/m2 or BTU.

Solar radiation measurements are often the first step when installing a photovoltaic system and as such should be recorded with a reliable and accurate device.

"I like the handheld unit more than the one with a cable, you can just rest the base on the bottom of the solar panel and read the screen easily on a sunny day. It has large digits and refreshes quickly."
